Canada has made climate change issues a priority through setting national climate goals. Approximately 8% of Canada’s greenhouse gas emissions are from the agricultural sector. Reducing these emissions needs to be a priority as demands on agriculture are continuously increasing with increasing population.

Liquid dairy manure is a source of greenhouses gases,  methane and nitrous oxide, as well as ammonia which is an indirect source of nitrous oxide and a human health hazard. My expertise working in the field of agricultural air quality is form my PhD research, which uses meso-scale field methods and laboratory scale methods to test greenhouse gas mitigating factors:
